Immune System Ramp Up- edited for Fall 2021!

I have been battling a cold on and off this week, so I thought I'd share this blog post again!


Getting your immune system working optimally requires some work on your part. It's not just about taking a supplement here and there. You need a plan of action!


1. Get Your Gut Health in Order

Did you know that 80% of your immune system resides in your gut? If you have an overgrowth of bad bacteria or yeast, your good bacteria gets crowded out, and the immune system suffers. If you are suffering from bloating, gas, constipation, diarrhea, auto immune issues, acid reflux, headaches, mood disorders, acne, IBS, and/or anxiety, it's time to get to the underlying cause of your symptoms (I can help with that).


2. Add Foundational Supplementation

As we head from summer into fall, we hear a lot about cold and flu season. In addition, we are still in the midst of a pandemic, and it's now more than ever we need our bodies to be ready to handle viruses that come our way.

Eating healthy isn't always enough. Our foods are just not as nutrient dense as they used to be due to soil depletion, pesticide use, and the emergence of genetically modified foods that were created to produce larger yield crops.

Basic foundational supplementation is an investment in your health. You need third party tested supplements that come from trusted sources. Your local big box store is NOT the place to be buying your supplements, as many contain artificial colors and fillers and are often made in China.


Recommended Foundational Supplements:

  • a whole food vitamin/mineral capsule or powder

  • a fruit and vegetable capsule or powder

  • Omega 3 capsules or liquid

  • a multi-strain probiotic

3. Next Level- Immune Boosting Products

Taking your immune health to the next level requires some additional supplementation.

  • Vitamin D3- research has show that having proper levels of vitamin D3 has helping people recover from Covid 19.

  • Balanced Zinc- many beneficial properties, and boosting immunity is just one!

  • A full spectrum Vitamin C- did you know that when your body is stressed, it uses more vitamin C?

4. And Another Thing...

You need to keep up with exercise, good quality sleep, stress relief, and getting outside in nature. Another thing...human interaction...you need to be with people who make you laugh and don't drain your energy. Sitting inside scrolling on your phone is NOT going to do anything for you.
